New York’s Madison Square Garden will be the home of the Boxing Super Welterweight WBA World Championship between Antonio Margarito and Miguel Cotto on the 3rd of December 2011. If you are unable to attend the event, you will be able to watch it live if you have an iPhone or iPad. HBO will be airing the match live, which will also be available as an iTunes Podcast. In anticipation of the big match, you will already be able to watch all the 24/7 episodes that have been aired by HBO. The match itself will be available on pay per view.
Watching any sort of live match on an iPhone or iPad is always great. The picture quality is fantastic, as is the sound. The only shame is, of course, that the screen can be quite small but for those who enjoy boxing, a small screen is better than no screen at all. Of course, you do need to make sure that you have an open internet connection with a speed of at least 20Mb to be able to stream the match. If you use a broadband line that many other people in your area use, the connection could be very slow, making it almost impossible to watch the match live. Either ask other people to stay off the line, or try to find an open Wi-Fi point somewhere else – for example at MacDonald’s or a large hotel.
Lastly, if you are using your own internet connection, either through home Wi-Fi or through your own phone, do make sure you don’t exceed any bandwidth limits. There is nothing worse than paying for a live match only to be cut off in the middle, or to find yourself with more to pay on your internet bill at the end of the month. You should go for a good Wi-Fi connection if you want to watch boxing live streams.
